    FSSAI Registration or FSSAI License is obligatory for the business that involves food. For example, the entity sells food or does food-related activities like distribution, packaging, processing or manufacturing; then one needs the FSSAI registration to carry on with the company. Food Safety and Standard Authority of India is the organization that regulates the food industry in India as per the legal framework of the FSSAI Act, 2006. There are three types of licenses that FSSAI issues namely
    1. Central License
    2. State License
    3. Basic Registration

    3 Business units having an annual turnover of more than 20 lakh are eligible for the FSSAI Registration central license. Business units with more than 12 lakh annual turnover are eligible for FSSAI Registration state licenses. Business units having an annual turnover of up to 12 lakhs are eligible for FSSAI basic Registration licenses.
    4 The maximum tenure of the FSSAI Registration central license is five years, and the minimum is one year.     FSSAI State & Central License

    • PAN Card/Aadhar card scanned copy (for ID Proof)
    • The latest No-objection Certificate (NOC) scanned copy from the property owner if the registered office is on leased or rented property. (Address Proof)
    • Scanned copy of (Not older than two months, preferably the latest one) (Address Proof):
      • Latest bank statement
      • mobile or telephone bill
      • gas or electricity bill
    • Scanned copy of sale deed or property deed; if the applicant owns the property. (Address Proof)
    • 8-9 photographs of the premises
    • Blueprint of the premises
    • List of food products manufactured or processed to be mentioned on the company letterhead [with seal and signature]
    • List of machines (if any) to be used with the numbers to be mentioned on the company’s letterhead [with seal and signature].
    • Passport-sized photographs of the directors/proprietor/partner

    Manufacturing Units

    Apart from the documents mentioned above, the following are the additional documents required to register FSSAI-Manufacturing.

    • Blueprint of the plant/warehouse
    • List of all the machinery and equipment to be used
